Fitness Posters, Books and Information from 5-time Mr. Universe Bill Pearl.
Having won most of the titles back east I moved to Los Angeles in july 1969 to train with Pearl for the National titles. When I arrived the "Buzz" was all Ed Corney. The first chance I got to see him was at the upcoming Mr. California. Since I was also competing I would have to watch from backstage. But as Ed's turn approached backstage emptied as everyone rushed out front to watch. I joined them. Pearl was coaching me in my posing. When I returned to the gym monday morning I told Bill,"Teach me to pose like that".
